he finally said, his eyes not meeting hers as he talked. The lack of love between him and his parents was obvious, and given that he was an only child, he really didn't feel it. It was perhaps one of the things that had driven him to like Dahlia more than he would have. She had been like any other girl - willing to sleep with him, and he had thought that their relationship would be nothing more than a pure fling. But when he had, on an honest mistake, slipped about his family, they had started to talk. She wasn't a Slytherin, and for one of those moments, he was glad of that. She wasn't that judgmental in her behavior towards him, and he hadn't expected the listening ear she had been willing to lend to him. It had been a welcome gesture, and Jasper had been eternally grateful for it.Shuffle. Step. Shuffle. Step. This was the attitude that Jasper had taken to his walking, and as his green-gray eyes - bordering to the latter, but mostly a mix - surveyed his surroundings, he gave a small laugh at her words of how she was the one to provide the concern that he was lacking considerably at home. As the blonde ducked his head, tucking his chin to hide his expression at her words, he made a non-committal sound of a grunt, that contrasted greatly with his previous laugh. "I guess so,"
No more? He raised an eyebrow at her, as a knowing look came across his face. "I'm debating, mentally, whether you'd think that being scary is better or being with me is better. Answer carefully, this will decide a lot of things," he said evenly, although the humor was somewhat present in his voice, save the fact laced under many other emotions, one of them being seriousness. He gave a smirk at her, continuing, "You sound all too happy to be rid of me. Why, if I had known but earlier that your feelings towards me were so harsh, you could have let me known earlier." His tone was flat, and he shrugged again when she said that he would do better than to awaken the wrath. "Love, I know how bloody scary women can get. Trust me." He said this sincerely, adding, "And aye, if I do wish to still be a companion to someone, I suppose it would be best to try and retain all parts of my body." He patted himself down in the same beat, as though checking whether all parts of him were really there. Straightening himself after his brief stint at bending downwards, he gave a smile to her when he was done. "As of now, all there!"
There was something oddly comfortable about the feel of her lips against his. It was a softness that he was accustomed to, and on hindsight, would have some problem with parting with, if he was made to. However, such moments were not to last. Lust was a dangerous thing, and the last thing Jasper wanted to have to deal with was a raging erection at the borders of the Forbidden Forest. That was ridiculous, and certainly not comfortable for either of them. No, his retreat had been necessary. He would continue to tell himself that, until the end of time. It was necessary, it was it was it was. He gave a sly smile towards Dahlia, shaking his head. "Never, de Luca. You couldn't make me, either," he replied cheekily, not the least bit remorseful for his actions. Immediately diverting his attention back to the path, he walked at a slow rate, hoping to prolong the time out. Not long enough though, for soon enough the walls of Hogwarts were gracing them both.
Looking at the place with disnterest, he turned to face Dahlia once again. Quietly, he murmured, "It seems we part here, love." Jasper surveyed her quietly, himself standing on the steps of Hogwarts that led to the Great Hall, his voice not revealing a tinge of emotion. Giving her a smile, he murmured again, "I will see you at the Halloween Ball. Goodnight, Dahlia." Her name, her first one, was finally used by him, and as he stepped closer to her and pressed a kiss to her lips, one that was meant to bid her goodnight, he felt himself smile against them. He could definitely get used to doing this all the time, for it wasn't everyday that he was given the luck of wishing the fair Gryffindor goodnight. Pulling back, he pushed his fringe out of his face, eyes twinkling. He wouldn't ask her to bed tonight - it was too late - and Samira wanted practice tomorrow. If he wanted to survive it, it meant no late-night romps, unfortunately. Tonight, they would part, and it was evident as Jasper continued to make his way up the steps. "Don't sleep too late, Head Girl!"[/blockquote][/blockquote]
