“I don’t like this” hissed the hooded Gibbon into the ear of Selwynn
as they walked up the cobble stone walkway. A quaint family
house lay merely a few yards ahead of them.
“Your nerves are finally getting to you” cackled
Selwynn who nudged his friend tauntingly. Gibbon grunted, not
pleased of the jokes being cracked at his expense. “Something
doesn’t seem right” He continued to argue quietly,
surprised slightly by the fact that the two hadn’t been noticed
walking through the friendly neighbourhood. “It doesn’t
matter, we only have two options and I don’t want to die at his
hands” Selwynn retorted hoping that would be the
end of it as he stepped up onto welcome mat that was
displayed. Selwynn was honoured with the Dark Lord’s task and
didn’t plan on messing it up, which was the reason why he’d
taken the initiative to lead his jumpy comrade. “We go in
on my signal, wands out!” he snapped before holding
up his hand and using his fingers to count to three. The poor
family wouldn't know what hit them, that thought alone had a
sinister smirk playing on Selwynn’s lips hidden beneath his
hooded cloak.
Nothing but the yelling of curses and wailing of children could be
heard within the surprised household. In less then an hour the
entire household was slain. “I told you it
wouldn’t be a problem” grinned Selywnn before he
apparated out of the scene, shortly followed by a relieved
Gibbon. They’d succeeded in their task.

“RIGHT UNDER OUR NOSES!” The infuriated voice of Alastor
Moody could be heard throughout all of the house as he stood in
the kitchen with hogwart’s newest headmaster. “Alastor, your
voice, keep it down. The neighbours will surely hear you.” Albus
Dumbledore said, an attempt to calm the experienced
Auror. “This is getting too out of hand, he’s becoming brazen!
The minister Albus! We need to-” Moody was exasperated at this
point, he’d been at the scene for the greater part of last night
and most of this morning, heading the investigating Arors in the
vicinity. “Patience old friend, we must--” The elderly wizard was
cut short by the shouts coming in from the living room, “Ah! It
seems our newest minister has arrived on the scene”
Dumbledore said pleased by something Moody had obviously
missed though he shrugged it off as the two walked into the
living room which hours before held the slain minister and her
family. “I WANT THEIR HEADS!” A red faced Barty Crouch stated
forcefully at a group of Arors before turning towards the new
comers. “He can’t, he WILL NOT get away with this!” Barty said
starting up again. “Patients Barty, things often get worse before
they better. We’re working to bring together a team of elite
wizards capable of matching these dark forces.” Dumbledore
stated while Moody nodded in agreement. Barty of course
seemed skeptical and slightly paranoid due to his sudden thrust
forward in the wizarding politics.

A war is coming, but no one seems to know any other details
then that. Lord Voldemort, after brazenly ordering the death of
the Minister for Magic, is growing stronger then ever anticipated.
The Arors are losing hope as they watch more murders with the
rising numbers of Death Eater’s under his control. But
Dumbledore believes he has a solution, he calls it the Order of
the Phoenix. A group of well trained wizards with a knack for
spells and curses who are willing to defend the magical and non-magical
communities. It seems this is their only help.
While most are worrying about their safety from one day to
another, life continues to go on at Hogwarts as it were.
Students are having the time of their life, not allowing for the
turmoil in the world outside the walls of Hogwarts to put a
damper on them. Dumbledore has a lot to do with this, not easily
allowing the students to hide in sheer terror, of course the
magically fortified castle grounds make it easier to sleep at night.
But there’s something no one has given much thought to, Death
Eater’s among the students of Hogwarts. All eyes are on those
that are adorn in green and silver as they walk the halls.
Rumours are quickly spreading among the students and it’s not
rare for duels to break out in the middle of the corridors as
students are ready to defend their good and even not-so-good
names.
