NICKNAMES: harper, harperbelle(james only)
AGE: twenty one
YEAR: ---
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: very straight
D.O.B.: september tenth
HOUSE/FORMER HOUSE: ravenclaw
ALLEGIANCE: order
PROFESSION: reporter at the daily prophet
WAND TYPE: unicorn hair, mahogany, eight inches even

YOU KNOW THAT I ,

------------------------------------------------------------
EYE COLOUR: light green
HEIGHT: five feet, six inches
WEIGHT: about one twenty-six
BODY TYPE: thin, slim, semi-tall athletic
VOICE: british accent with american tones in there, semi deep (think kristen stewart's actual voce)
PERSONAL STYLE: Harper says that her style is trendy, chic and comfortable all at the same time.
JEANS & BOTTOMS: She can pull off designer jeans if she wanted to, but ones from Old Navy or Aeropastale are good enough for her. Like every girl, she has her skinny jeans to wear when feeling that way. She has jeans in every shade of blue, and a few colored ones for when she feels like being rebellious and punk. She has so many pairs of jeans that she lost count a while ago. Harper prefers jeans to skirts, but when she runs out of clothes, she can pull one out.
TOPS: Harper has all sorts of tops. She has long sleeved ones, short sleeved ones and every kind of sleeve in between. She has a thousand camis, give or take a few, and wears them under everything. She only wears dressy tops when the time calls for it, but other than that, wears casual tops. She likes empire waist ones the best, but V-necks are nice as well.
DRESSES: HA! Good luck getting Harper in a dress. She'd probably kill you first. But when the time comes, she likes going with something medium length. The short ones make her feel awkward, the long ones are dumb (in her opinion), so she just keeps to the medium length ones.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The color of Harper's hair is hard to describe. It's a deep brown base with a few different color brown and caramel highlights to it. There's a few tints of a light brown in it that lighten when she's in the sun. In the summer, her hair gets lighter due to sun exposure and the highlights change too. It's thick and wavy, but she tends to straighten it or curl it, depending on her mood. You'll rarely see her with her hair up. If you do, she's either PMSing or working out. When the rare special occasion comes around, she will do the most elaborate up do you can imagine. She looks best with her hair to the side in a low ponytail if it's casual and when it's in a up do, something with curls looks the best. Her skin is a pale color. She tans easily and doesn't usually burn. Her complexion is even and smooth and like the rest of us, she gets blemishes and pimples. She washes her face alot to prevent this.
Harper stands about 5 feet 7 inches tall and is very skinny. She has a little bit of muscle from 5 years of dancing a 10 years of gymnastics. She has been mistaken for anorexic once when she was in her fifth year because she was over working herself with ice skating and gymnastics. No, she didn't look like a skeleton, but she was very skinny to a point of near anorexic appearance.
She has almond shaped green eyes that she believes are her best feature. In certain light, they have a little tint of hazel in them{don't ask how, it's just the lighting}. Her eyelashes frame then beautifully and make them look even bigger then they are.
Harper wears makeup like every other girl. To make her skin look better, she wears cover up and face powder. To make her eyes pop out, she wears eyeliner and mascara. Her eyeshadow always goes with her outfit and makes her eyes look pretty. She never goes anywhere without lip gloss in her purse or pocket. She wears black eyeliner mostly since the brown makes her look... bleh. She puts enough on to define the shape of her eyes, but not too much to where she looks like she's off to a rock concert. She only wears black mascara to make her black eyelashes more defined also. The amount of eyeshadow she uses depends on her mood, her outfit and how much time she has.

BIOGRAPHY: "If you ask me, it all happened too quickly."
Yes, it did. She was in college in the US. She was twenty. He met her through a friend of a friend. He was a decent guy. They started to get closer and he finally plucked up the courage to ask her out. Penelope told James the news a year later. He told his grandmother. His grandmother told his mother. Penelope was pregnant.
On September the tenth, Penelope told James to hurry his ass up and get her in the car. They drove to the hospital. Twenty-six hours later, Harper Belle Clearwater was born. Penelope wanted her to have her last name. She was a bit iffy on James at the time, and didn't know if he would stay with her. The two argued over names. Gabrielle vs. Peyton, Ella vs. Piper, Leacel vs. Shahera[no joke]. They finally agreed on Harper in the end. They named Penelope's friend Mary godmother and James's uncle Mark at the baptism. It was a good first few years.
The summer before her fourth birthday, Harper's parents got married. She and her cousin Morgan were flower girls. It was lovely. She was happy. The next September, Harper started kindergarten as a muggle would. Penelope still hadn't told James that she was a witch... Her great grandmother was always there for her while mom and dad were working. Even at eighty-four, she was like Harper's second mother. Grandma Fanto got her on and off the bus after school, made her breakfast, lunch and dinner and was always ready with a hug.
In July, three years later, Tereasa Fanto died unexpectedly. Harper was crushed. Being only eight years old, she didn't know what to do. It was about the same time that her dad met Jessie. They both worked together. Jessie was young and James was bored. Penelope caught the two and flipped out. She packed Harper up and moved out... to England. Harper had no idea what to do. Her mother took her overseas because of her father? She was confused. Harper talked to her father, but only saw him on Christmas. One Christmas, she got a surprise-Jeff Bailey. Jeff worked with her mother. Sure, she knew him, but didn't know they were dating. Harper was nine when they moved in with Jeff.
All was going smooth. On her tenth birthday, Harper got a surprise- three actually. Her father and Jessie came to visit... and Jessie was pregnant. The baby was due in December and they were getting married in April. It was going to be a good year. Carson, her brother, was born via C-section on his exact due date. Jessie and James got married... and Penelope and Harper got kicked out. Jeff didn't want to deal with them any more. For eighteen months, they lived alone and started all over. Penelope told Harper that she was a witch. She told her about the chance of her being a witch as well, and that it was pretty high. She would get a letter to her alma mater the next year if all went well. Harper was jazzed. A few months later, Penelope and Harper were going out to dinner and Penelope had a date- Jeff. Harper was furious. How could she just take him back? She finally accepted it when Jeff proposed, thinking it was the real deal. It was. They were married in May. Harper was her mother's witness. It was a small wedding. Harper wore a blue dress.
Just as promised, Harper got her letter the next year. She was thrilled. She got all of her things with her mother. Jeff didn't like the idea of his stepdaughter going off to boarding school for magic. Not that he cared so much about Harper, he just didn't want her to be able to do things that he couldn't. Harper didn't care. She could be away from him and be free!
Seven years passed without much event, and she liked it that way. Simplicity was good for Harper, and she was happy things could be that simple. She was good in school, had good friends and fell in and out of love a million times. The only thing she really noticed was Lane Harper. Lane was a boy in gryffindor that caught her attention almost immediately. Not only was he uncommonly cute, but he was sweet. They met in her fourth year, when someone was trying to fight with Harper. They were being quite mean to her, and she wasn't standing up for herself. So Lane stepped in and helped her out. Ever since that day, they had been friends. Harper didn't fall for hin until she got to her seventh year. She always noticed he was cute, it just didn't hit her until she thought she was over Tony...
Lane apparently felt the same way. On her nineteeth birthday, Lane took her out to dinner, and he told her how he felt over champagne and French food. She started chocking on the champagne and... well, she said yes. Of course she said yes. Harper had never been happier in her life. Everything was going the right way. She was always smiling when she was with Lane, and they barely got into any fights... It was the day of their one year anniversary when it happened. Harper was out with an old friend from college and they had a girl's day together. It was only fair. Lane got her for the rest of the night. She came home... only to be redirected to the muggle hospital. She didn't know what was happening. The doctor kindly explained that Lane had fallen asleep while somethign was cooking... something for her birthday dinner... The apartment caught on fire. She was in shock. She didn't speak for the rest of the night. All of her friends- the Finnigans, the girl she had just gone shopping with; everyone she knew- was in that waiting room with her. She didn't talk. Words wouldn't come out of her mouth. Then the nurse came out and said the words "They did all they could." Harper didn't cry unitl she got home. She Freya and her friend Madison (the one from college) were the only ones in Maddy's tiny apartment. There wasn't much they could do but give her hugs and let her cry...
When things were recovered from the apartment, Lane's posessions were given to her. She went through them, smiling through tears as she found pictures of them... the one thing she found that made her cry the most was a small little black box. It was silver (since Harper refused to wear gold) with the names Lane & Harper engraved in the inside. It was an engagement ring... Harper cried for hours. He was going to propose to her... and if she had only gotten home an hour earlier... Harper never stopped blaming herself for Lane's death, and to this day, she still loves him.
Ever since? She went to a muggle college for two years to get a good head start in journalism. Soon after, she applied for the Daily Prophet and get the junior magical problems reporter slot. She soon advanced to the head spot and has been working there ever since.

RP EXPERIENCE: almost five years
HOW YOU FOUND US: anne ;] (the words "james" and "harper" and "sex" lured me here
OTHER CHARACTERS: NONE... yet
RP SAMPLE:
Things weren’t working out so great. Not really. Everything seemed fine, but was it really? No. Not really. Her father was slipping back into his normal routine of never calling her, her mother was too wrapped up in her husband to care about what was going on in her life and her little brother, in his ten year old bliss, was only worries about if he was pitching in his baseball game. No, she didn’t hold it against her brother, just her parents. She didn’t mind her dad’s girlfriend, but she hated her mother’s husband. Things were bad in her family, as usual, and it made her personal life a living hell.
Harper Clearwater folded her legs across the seat in the small diner. She ran her hands through her newly dyed blonde hair and sighed. She sort of missed her dark brown hair, but she was going to be tough and stick it out for a few weeks at least. She wasn’t going to cower when Lane saw it, and she sure as well wasn’t going to take any B.S. about it. Not from anyone. Not Tony (not that he would say anything against it), Bransen (who would most likely just laugh), Elias (who wouldn’t say two words about it anyways), Mick (who would probably hit her) or Lane (even if his opinion mattered the very most to her). No one was going to make fun of her hair. Hell. No. She was being such a girl about the matter, and it bugged her. Harper didn’t like acting like a girl. Girls were superficial and materialistic, as well as catty and annoying. That was why she had always fitted herself in with guys. All of her friends, save like, three, were guys. Her closest friends were all guys, and the only three girls she tolerated were sisters with her guy best friends. Freya was Tony’s twin, so it was natural that she was friends with her, as it was Camille. And Jade was Lane’s sister, so it was almost forced, but after a while, it was natural as well. Rayelle? Um, not so much. Raye was the exact reason why Harper hated girls. Those three were her only close girl friends. Of course, Harper was decent friends with all of her guys’ sisters. Bransen’s sister was a Slytherin, but she kept things civil. Tony Bell’s sisters- Melissa and Aphrodite- were good friends of hers as well.
There was one very important person Harper was leaving out. The last of her guys, one of the names on her list of ex boyfriends and one of the only sane people in the world who understood her. Albus Severus Potter was one of Harper’s best friends. She met him in Hogwarts. He was a first year with a big name on his shoulders and a reputation to carry. Still, as soon as Harper got talking to him, she saw right through the name and the rep to see the real Al. That was what he was to her- Al. Her best friend. Back in school, they dated. It was the awkward sort of relationship where hand holding was the furthest it got in public, and the occasional kiss was the furthest it got in private. Still, they seemed right for each other, and he was the perfect distraction from her broken heart due to two of her very best friends- Kalia and Anthony. It was in the months that Harper and Al dated that she actually got closer to him. Sure, they had been friends before, but as soon as it was relationship territory, things got better. They were much too similar not to be together, but too awkward to stay a couple for long. To this day they had stayed friends, and Harper was more than glad for it. She needed him.
Al was a musician, much like Harper was. Yes, Harper was a media major whose dream was to have a staff job at the Daily Prophet. She was also a music minor who could kick some serious piano and guitar ass. She knew what she was doing and she had a voice to go with it. She went to Al with any music related problems, and he was her saving grace in that matter. Most of her friends were tone deaf and had no idea what a tri tone chord was. And it bugged the hell out of her when they tried to help. At least Al knew what she was talking about. And don’t get her wrong, she loved her tone deaf, musically retarded friends, but she needed someone like Al, or she’d be stuck in a Starbucks, talking about real depressing things just to get an answer to her music question. She would shoot herself if she ever had to do that.
So she counted herself lucky she had him. She had invited him to dinner with her, just for the fun of it that night. He had been studying hard for a test all week, and he was barely there. So Harper wanted to give him a night off. He needed it. She offered to pay, seeing as she invited him. Sure, it would mean she would have less money to go shopping with, but that was okay. She didn’t mind. She was helping out a friend, so that was a plus.
Pulling the small silver device out of her pocket, Harper placed her i-Pod on the table. It was a tradition that she and Albus started. Every time they saw each other, they traded music. She was just getting prepared. She crossed her ankles under the table and bit her lip. What was he going to think about her hair? Why was she being such a girl about it? Was there any sense in the world? Probably not. She sighed, uncrosses her ankles and put both elbows on the table. Her head was cradled between her hands when she heard the door of the restaurant close. Late. He was late again. Typical man
