YOU KNOW THAT I ,
YOU KNOW THAT I ,

------------------------------------------------------------
EYE COLOUR: Blue-Green
HEIGHT: 5"5'
WEIGHT: 122lbs
BODY TYPE: Thin and not overly busty, Genevieve probably cuts it as an average member of the female population. The only thing that makes her stand out the most would be her height, but then again it's not very tall when she's put to stand beside a male, especially with the growth spurts most males tend to experience very late in their life, causing them to be unbelievably (and regrettably) tall.
VOICE: Born and bred an American, she has an American accent, not that that's something to be surprised by. However, that's not very prominent when she speaks in other languages, such as French and Latin, whereas she is more fluent in the second one, the former a new language she had decided to pick up. Her father impressed it upon her that learning Latin would be useful despite the fact that it's a dead language, and given that her mother has French heritage, thus she started learning French. In terms of language, her father's an influential character, so from listening to the numerous visitors that came to her house, she picked up bits of different languages here and there, but none that she's entirely familiar in. She can understand, but would make a horrible embarrassment of herself just to say it out loud, and we all know that is something she'd rather avoid. She's got her sights set on learning Russian next.
PERSONAL STYLE: She is very conservative, and comfortable to her would be wearing over sized t-shirts and long pants; anything that didn't show skin. She's fine with dresses and skirts, but her comfort sense would come first when given a choice.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Genevieve was born with brown hair, locks that were part of her childhood till now, only cut to maintain it's slightly longer than shoulder length. At one time, she experimented dying it, going through a phase where blond hair was associated with her. Her mother was supportive of trying out any types of looks, and while her father found it pointless, he allowed her to do whatever she wanted with her hair, often enough just amused with the changes that she did to it. In her entire life, the only lasting change to her hair had been that period of time when it had been blond, said period being for about half of her life. All other experimentation she had taken up often disappeared a few days later, no doubt with the assistance of her mother's magic.
A sharp face with sharper eyes, her eyes are a mixture of blue and green, and only serve to accentuate any glare she directs to anybody. But other than that, it's not noticed as much as her pale skin, which is probably her most prominent feature in contrast to her brown hair. It was because of this skin that when she was blond, most people thought that she was sickly due to the way she looked. They learned soon enough that she was anything but sickly , for her scathing replies to any remarks about her appearance proved them terribly wrong.
While she doesn't admit it, she is rather tall, although she protests and says that she's of average height. She's comfortable with wearing heels, although flats and sneakers suit her more often than not, because heels are such a hassle. But she grew up attending extravagant affairs that required those monstrosities, so she's able to navigate in just about every type of shoe, although she has and will never wear heels that are four inch. That was as good as setting up a situation for her to fall flat on her face if she were to do such a thing.

BIOGRAPHY: Chase Isaac Brookes had not expected anything to happen in the year that he had met Genevieve's mother. Certainly, not on the one holiday that he had never cared for, that being the eve of Christmas. With no living family to spend it with, Chase had decided to visit a nearby cafe, where he would eat dinner at while the rest of the world were at home with their family and starting on their Turkey dinners. No, he had not expected to be seated at a table that was directly opposite the one where Adele Isabella Shone was. Likewise, she was alone too, doing nothing but flipping through a menu, her movements only showing her listlessness, the Christmas spirit clearly absent. "It must have been the alcohol," her father insists until today, but it was a fact that Chase had, in a sudden decision, invited Adele over to his table, for eating together was far better than eating alone.
Under the influence of expensive wine, both her parents were intoxicated by midnight, and through drunk conversation, had learned more about the other than they could possibly ever hope to had they gone on normal dates. Upon midnight, both had merrily exchanged a kiss to celebrate the fact that it was Christmas, and it was with this kiss that everything begun. While her parents did not foolishly bed each other that night, they exchanged numbers, promising to call each other as soon as possible. Soon, for them however, meant two weeks, for Chase was a busy man, even at that time. But they got started on dates. Six weeks after they started dating, Adele decided that it was right to reveal to him the truth about her being a Witch, and surprisingly for her, Chase accepted it like a gentleman, showing only interest in what she did, and not the least bit of repulsion. His acceptance of who she was only provoked her to start developing more than ordinary feelings for him, and in a year, they were engaged, marrying on Valentine's Day, like the sappy couple that they were.
They settled into the Brookes family mansion in Britain, with the aura that newlyweds would have. They were content, certain that life from now on would be nothing less than perfect, and settled into a routine lifestyle soon enough. Three years later however, the two of them moved to New York, for Chase had decided to venture into the US, and Adele all too happily agreed to follow. In comparison to their home in Britain, they found nothing could compare to that, so instead they purchased a four room apartment, spacious enough for the both of them. At that time, they were still happy.
Three months later, while Chase was in Florida negotiating business, he got a frazzled phone call from his wife, who hyperventilated over the phone. After spending about an hour to calm her down, she finally told him why she had called. "I'm pregnant.", and that was all it took for him to postpone the rest of the meetings and take a direct flight back to New York just to be with his wife. He assumed the role of a protective father-to-be all too easily, refusing to let his wife lift a finger despite her protests that he was being silly and she was perfectly fine. In all honesty, he treated her like the queen, or perhaps even better, as her mother would say.
Nine months later, Genevieve Anne Brookes was born to the first time parents, and Chase and Adele couldn't be prouder. At first, they did wonder why Genevieve did not cry as much as the other babies, her silence oddly startling as compared to what they had read on what to expect when it came to children. But the nurse had assured them it was alright, and the two showered enough love on her to make anyone jealous. Later on, it was discovered that she had sensitive hearing, thus resulting in her lack of noise, for she didn't appreciate the noise that was already disturbing her peace, why would she contribute to it?
It didn't take much prodding for anyone to realise that Genevieve was far from normal, for while she did not have the boisterous nature that Adele possessed, she looked like her mother, but took on the seemingly mysterious personality that her father had. Soft-spoken and reserved, she never chose to speak more than necessary, and often kept much to herself. She hardly cried as she grew up, for there was really nothing to cry about, since her parents were like eternal bodyguards, not letting anything harm even one single strand of hair of hers. She learned from her mistakes fast, and displayed intelligence that her mother and father often wondered where it came from.
However, she was not brought up as though she was a rich heiress, having not grown up in an elaborate mansion like her father. She was taught to be someone befitting the heiress of her father's enterprise, but her lifestyle was simple, only getting whatever she needed, and not wanting more than she could have. A miserly life, someone once called it, but she didn't think of it that way.
She was given the best of both worlds, literally, for at the age of one, it was clear that she had magical talent, like her mother. Her father had been the one to discover that, for books that he had placed high up in the shelves in her room often were found in her bed, despite the fact she could barely crawl then. He had thought that Adele had been the one doing this, but having witnessed her magically summon a book to her cot one day, he realised what was happening, and told Adele. Adele was pleased, but refused to teach her daughter anything at the tender age, despite Chase's wishes. He wouldn't argue with his wife, and compromised, agreeing that she should only learn when she could at least walk and talk properly, first. Normal life first, magic life second. The topic was soon forgotten, for rarely did Genevieve display any more shows of magic anymore.
The second time her powers appeared, it was when she was ten, and then, Chase and Adele decided that it was only fair to start teaching their daughter how to handle her magic, lest the incident repeat itself, for the second time her magic appeared, Genevieve had set the rug on fire. Had Adele not been at home, the Brookess would have been chased out of the flat they had lived in for ten years. She was taught basic control of her magical powers, and soon enough did not have any more lessons, for she had learned all that she could. And just like every other potential Wizard or Witch, Genevieve then received her letter to Hogwarts to attend school, and with great anticipation and enthusiasm, she agreed, boarding the train to Hogwarts later that year. For three years, she topped the classes easily, what with her thirst for knowledge and to excel. On the downside, however, she made little friends, and formed little relationships. While by the third year most people had an other half - she didn't believe it was real love though - she was still blissfully (?) alone. The feeling of loneliness affected her now and then, but the fact that her grades and accomplishments met her parents' approval, she pushed those negative thoughts out of her head, and lived to excel only.
Life seemed perfect, but it fell apart soon after. Three years later, when she was fourteen, it was the same year that her parents went through a divorce, citing that famous reasons celebrities employed for the media, that being irreconcilable differences. For years, Genevieve hadn't noticed that her parents had been slowly drifting away from each other, the spark noticeably gone by everyone else except her. The divorce was quick, painless to everyone except her, for with each stroke her parents made on the papers that declared their divorce, she felt something pierce her heart, and it was that day she was sure that there was really no such thing as love, for if even her parents were unable to love each other forever, there was certainly no such thing like love. Her fourth year was pretty miserable, and she pretty much black-faced everyone more than her normal self. She spent most of the time in the library - more so than normal. Holidays were not holidays, given the amount of court hearings she had to attend in order to understand who would be given custody of her.
Her father fought for her custody and got it, and together the two of them returned to Britain, where she first stepped into the family's mansion. It was there, she made a bond with the library, spending almost every waking hour buried beneath books, believing them to provide a solace that would make up for the whole she had because of her parents' divorce. Her knowledge expanded with time, and soon enough the library was as good as her bedroom, as her father had once teased her about. And while the void that had come with her parents' divorce had never been completely filled, the new found knowledge she now possessed helped to dull the pain, and when she was fifteen, she made peace with her parents. Perhaps it was because in her fifth year it was her O.W.L.s, and she refused to let her personal problems affect her grades anymore than necessary, or the fact that since the Headmaster had seen fit to award her the status of Prefect, Genevieve really didn't want her family problems to stain her reputation in the school. So she made peace, and returned for yet another year, and received, as usual, excellence for the subjects she was examined for. Although she grew somewhat more distant with her mother because of the fact that she spent less time with her. In a bid to close the gap however, she received her pet from Adele, a cat with black fur that she named Fitzers, and has been her loyal companion for all these years.
At seventeen, she graduated with top Honours. With a life left ahead of her to choose, it was probably no surprise that Genevieve immediately ditched the idea of returning to the Muggle world to live, seeing that she had all too many bad memories on that side of the world. While she kept in contact with her father, she devoted herself into a life study of Wizarding science, leaving to pursue a double degree in Potions and Charms, although she aimed to be a recognised Potions Mistress. Her father's business would have to wait until she was well and ready and willing to return to the Muggle world. Having studied for a year in Triniy College for her Masters, she's currently on an attachment program with the local Apothecary in Diagon Alley, serving as the assistant to the Potions Master/Mistress there currently. Her specialty lies in healing potions and Charmed Potions, but these are areas where research is still needed to fully grasp the concepts of it.
(Lmao, sorry for the extensive biography, I play her at some other areas under a different name and what not, so.)
