when i say jump, you say how high? never seen nobody, how they get so high Tossing her hood back Sellema Riddle held her head high, confident in every sense of the word. The ride to Azkaban prison had been a long one, though the Riddle heiress could not have cared less; having been graced with looks that would not fade for years to come and an appearance that did not allow her to be disheveled whatsoever. Nodding at a few of the guards they allowed her entrance, her eyes focusing on the door at the end of the hallway; her father. But he would come last, for her respect for him was nill at this point. Rotting away in some prison rather than finding a way to accomplish his goals. To say that Sellema had hard feelings towards her father, the one and only Lord Voldemort, was an understatement. Though she supported every death eater she came across and bore the mark on her arm as proof of that ... she detested the man that had helped create herself ... as well as her twin sister and their brother. She simply could not see what her mother so adored about him, even to this day.
My daughter, I sense you. Come be with your aging father. The hiss came at the back of her mind, wrapping around her internal thoughts like a snake; just as he would want. Biting down on her bottom lip gently Sell shot a harsh look towards the door that separated her from her father's 'wing' of the prison, his desperate whispers never fading as she walked to the other end of the prison. What she would fin there, she had no idea, though it hardly mattered. Prolonging her visit to her father rather than showing him she was rushing through it seemed like such an excellent idea.
Approaching the vast area that could only be called the 'cafeteria' for lack of a better word, Sellema inhaled slowly, testing the waters to see if anyone smelled out of place. Noticing a familiar prisoner Sellema began walking forward, withdrawing her wand as she did so. Being who she was, where she was, who was to say otherwise; she was the daughter of the most hated man in the wizarding world ... and respected for the way she treated him cruelly on the off chance he was privelaged to set eyes on her. Hello dear, it's been awhile since we played has it not? She asked coyly, a harsh sneer finding it's way to her delicate features, curving her lips upward; her eyes darkening from light green to fiery, deep green. Raising her wand she went over what curse she'd so love to use, only to have the fun halted before it was started; a familiar voice filling her head and sense. Turning around swiftly she smiled, this time in earnest, as her eyes fell upon someone who always managed to find her whilst she was wreaking havoc upon Azkaban prison. Come to save me from myself? She questioned, one eyebrow tossed casually into the air.

Withdrawing his wand from his back pocket, Albus couldn't help but look at it as he sat on the boat, the waves doing nothing to ease the motion sickness that he had gotten from the intensity of it all. Withdrawing his other hand from his lap, he used it to cover his mouth as he cast some non-verbal spells that would help with the sickness. If there was any other way, Albus wouldn't have made this trip in the first place. He had never been one for the conventional travel - Floo and Apparation were so much more docile in comparison, and saved him the ache of having to nurse his motion sickness whenever he traveled by this way. However, when it came to actually visiting Azkaban, the means of arrival were but limited to only boat, for that was the only thing that could pass the wards that surrounded that place. He didn't have the luxury as he would if he were visiting any other country or if he had any other destination. Sighing to himself, he allowed the journey to carry on, determined not to puke for it would only embarrass himself.
When the boat finally hit the shores of the secluded island, Albus was more than eager to vacate his seat, stepping on the island and regaining his land legs. The sea and him would simply not mix, he thought wryly as he moved to keep in step with the accompanying officer of Azkaban. The chief warden, as his boss had arranged for him to be taken care by only the best. Entering the lobby of Azkaban, Albus nodded slowly as he listened to the other's precise instructions with regards on how he should behave and how he should present himself. His duty today was simple - he was given the task of having to interview certain prisoners in order to continue on their research, and seeing as his Head was not free - he had to interview said Harry Potter, his dad, and his Uncle and Aunt. Albus hadn't been allowed that, for fear of bias in the records, so he had been sent here instead. Like the Slytherin he was, he had expressed his sincere disappointment, but had followed orders either way.
Brushing his hair out of his face as he finished his first round of interviews, the inmates nasty at his presence, but didn't phase Albus the least. Growing up in Slytherin had allowed him to develop his own sense of nastiness which he didn't hesitate to use on them. However, being nasty did take up some energy, and as he excused himself and retrieved his wand, he headed back to the cafeteria - or so they called it - of Azkaban, where several of the wardens were already dining, as were some prisoners (those on lower security). Twirling his wand in his hand as he thought of what he'd like to drink - food wasn't an option, he was still queasy - he looked up at the sound of something clattering to the ground, his gaze landed on Semella and the poor prisoner she had in her grasp, with a wand pointed dangerously at him. Ah, not good at all, he thought as he broke into a brisk walk, reaching her side in but a few strides.
"Semella, I really doubt you'd want to do that, you know?"
he murmured softly, audible to both him and her as he stood behind her, his mouth close to her ear in order to prevent others from being alerted of this situation. Green eyes regarded her coolly as she waited for her response, and when she did give one, he chuckled. "And don't I always?"[/blockquote][/blockquote]

i'm the object of all your desires and your attention is all i require Feeling a familiar smirk begin to cross her lips at the sound of the voice she knew so well, Sellema lowered her wand only centimeters, still holding the gaze of the prisoner who cowered into the wall; begging her not to hurt him with his eyes. After all, weren't Azkaban prisoners tortured enough with their mundane and horrific daily lives? Not in Semella's opinion, to her every Azkaban prisoner resembled her father and therefore required whatever treatment she felt like bestowing upon the man she refused to lay eyes upon; they were her scape goat for her hatred towards the famed Lord Voldemort.
His breath caught her ear, heating it enough to cause her to turn her head and catch his eye with her peripherals. And why wouldn't I want to my dear Albus? She questioned, a lighthearted giggle in her tone. After all, would she be a Slytherin if she weren't cruel? Surely she could not be a true death eater supporter if she could not laugh amidst the walls of Azkaban. The words to emanate past the Potter boy's lips made her smirk once more, only this one was less cruel and more interested. Don't tell me you don't want to play with him too. Her words were smooth and honest, as she was always attempting to push Albus to the very nth of his abilities. They'd grown up, supposedly as rivals, and knew each other better than her twin knew her. How odd was such a thing?
The youngest Riddle had to give him credit, he was always able to come near her and silence the demons long enough to stop the danger she was to others. Though she would never admit to such a weakness, that just wasn't her style. Lowering her wand only inches Sellema turned slightly to face him, their faces centimeters away from one another's. What brings you to such a dismal place as this? The way she spoke to him one would never know the cruel things she had intended for the shriveled prisoner at her feet, the way her wand slowly lowered but looked as menacing as ever, Sellema tossed an eyebrow upward once more as her hip cocked to the side in a pose that only a woman of her stature could pull off. Surely you have more exciting things to do than save this worthless creature. Her eyes danced with his, as was all too familiar between the two destined rivals.
In truth, Sell wanted to see how far Potter would go to help the man at their feet. She wanted to see how close into her head and heart Albus could find himself before he became afraid for his life. Considering how connected their father's remained to this day, it was no surprise that at least one set of their children was connected, only ... not quite in the way that one would expect. The aspects of their relationship were so ... off beat, neither of them had ever dared discuss them for fear of what they'd find. Biting down gently on her pillow-like lips Sell twirled her wand several times, her expression cocky as she did so, before returning to the taunting position before the coward who was all but hugging the stone wall. And if you don't have more interesting things to do ... than please ... save me from myself as you say you can. Her words were taunting as were her sea green eyes, holding onto Albus Potter like no one else could.

His concern for her was obvious, although well-hidden and limited to only his green eyes that he had inherited from father, and the only one in his family with them. He dared not to let the rest of the people see that he did care, for it was easy for them to use his emotions against him. Instead of being phased by how close he was to Semella, Albus did the only thing sensible by reaching out to place a hand on her arm, and forcing her to lower her wand arm entirely. When she asked why she wouldn't want to, he gave an easy smile - the nonchalance showing - and replied, "Because I doubt they really need a display of your power, my dear." His gaze was firm, as was his tone and intent, for he really did not want any fights to occur here - let alone in front of the wardens, for ill-treatment of the prisoners were not allowed anymore, thanks to the Minister's new policy he had declared before, when his dad had been head of the Auror department. Azkaban was pure torture in terms of living environment - one should not suffer physical torture as well as mental torture at the same time, his father had argued, and the Minister had been hard pressed not to listen to the voice of the one man who had been responsible for Voldemort's downfall. Shaking his head at her query on whether he wanted to play with him too, Albus replied, "Of course not. But I do want to spoil your fun, love." His terms of affection were used all too easily, because he had no qualms when using it with Semella. Unlike her sister, Albus had a closer relationship with this twin. The fact he thought her prettier was but a bonus, but he had never told either twin that. For while Meissa found nothing but absolute joy at teasing him, Albus liked Semella better, for at least she was more interested in conversation than insulting. They talked like real friends would, and Albus was sometimes appreciative that not all Riddles disliked him as much as Meissa did. When asked again whether he had something better to do, he took Semella by the arm, fully looping his own left arm through her wand arm and quickly sending a look towards Semella's previous captive to disappear. The man took the hint and ran, as fast as a malnourished person could, and the Potter than directed his attention back to the lovely lady he had acquired through his own means. "Course I do. Like how I'm going to invite you right now to go have a drink with me. And because I'm Albus Severus Potter, you will be more than glad to agree." His eyes twinkling in delight as he said that, he hardly wanted Semella to refuse his offer. He was sincere in the aspect that he did want her company, for loneliness was such that no one should have to experience it, honestly. "And it'll get your mind off things here, won't it?" Pausing for a moment, Albus hoped that was enough to distract her from the sudden loss of a victim to her wand, for he didn't want her to have to face the Wizengamot for her actions. The Wizengamot, fair as they were, were ruthless when it came to their questioning. The fact that her name was a Riddle would definitely not help her case, so Albus was more than willing to think that it was best if he stopped her. If his offer didn't work, he would have to pull out the rest of the tricks from the bag. Not wanting her to get hurt, nor did he want her sister on his case either. Painful. If Voldemort could see them now, he would probably be surprised as to how well a Riddle and a Potter got on. His parents did not know of the close friendship he had with the Riddles, for he had never mentioned them once. Lily and James knew better than to do that, and they weren't bothered to, honestly. But seven years in the same house with her being his partner in various classes, the youngest son of the Potters was more than confident to say that he had a deep friendship with Semella - and was very concerned when it came to her well-being. Saving her was something he had possibly developed along their entire school years together, for the title of Prefect had not been bequeathed to him, which meant that he could sneak out at night without having to face the consequences of having his badge removed or anything. Plus, being the top student in the school did mean he had the general teaching population's favor. He was the essential person when it came to helping, and often enough sneaked out to find Semella should she suddenly be missing from the common room; with only Meissa and him being the ones noticing the absence.[/blockquote]

i'm the object of all your desires and your attention is all i require The expression Semella held towards her old friend was nothing less than condescending of his words. After all, wasn't it always appropriate for a Riddle to display their powers? Remind people why they were feared in the first place, whether she supported her father's beliefs or not was irrelevant. It seemed she was always seeking out a reason to release her anger on those weaker than she, whether they deserved it or not was something she never considered. The twenty one year old was all too aware of the consequences her actions could have brought, more than enough Azkaban guards to take her down and hide her away with her father; perhaps having the Potter boy appear out of what seemed to be thin air wasn't such a bad thing, granted she would never admit such a thing. Power should always be displayed when the opportunity arises. She spoke coldly, her eyes locking on the quivering, rag covered man at her feet. A bit of her insides tickled knowing that though she was a petite and beautiful young woman, she could make even the most hardened of criminals want to beg. Catching Albus's hardened gaze once more she smirked, cocking her head to the side for a moment before speaking again. Must you always appear right when something exciting is about to occur? You'd do well to find something fun for yourself rather than ruin mine. She commented, thinking on all the little maggots this man had saved simply by stepping in front of her wand.
Being the youngest of her siblings Semella was acutely aware of the things her elder brother and sister did, their death eater ways. The things that she supported wholeheartedly but despite her cruel tendencies, could never bring herself to do. Perhaps that was why her friendship with the youngest Potter boy had been so easy for her, having been in the same year and house their entire way through school could be another factor. And she couldn't lie, having watched him grow from pubescent to a man had been quite the eye opener. And occasionally a turn on, something she also would never admit.
Seconds after Albus linked his arm with hers Semella felt her anger drift away along with the raging winds outside the prison, her wand falling gracefully to her side. Whatever calming affect this man had on her, she was not about to complain; though she could not hide her expression of disdain as the little coward made his quick exit. It seems you are his savior today, but who says you'll be there to save him tomorrow? She said swiftly, her words harsh though her eyes were smirking quite playfully. As soon as he spoke of drinks a wave of memories flushed through the young woman, causing her to smile whether she wanted to or not. I suppose I could grace you with my presence, as long as you're paying. The teasing tone that she usually had around her old friend had returned, though the whispers from her father would not desist. Not a Potter ... Not a Potter. He was screaming inside her mind, begging his youngest and favorite daughter to do something other than betray him once more; as she had been doing all her life it seemed.
It didn't take long for the pair to exit the prison, arm in arm, and make their way to the boat. Though Semella had found herself allowed to find other means to the prison, she felt it only fair to ride the waves with the man who had kept her from making another grave mistake; one she would've regretted only for the consequences, not the man whose screams would've fallen on her deafened, hateful ears. Have you found your sea legs yet Mr. Potter? She questioned as the boat began to rock and they took their places. Never had he been able to handle the sea, it was not his favorite place to say the least.
The boat approached shore and they exited, the sky clear and blue. Her attitude was not that of a happy, go lucky woman; but oh how she adored the sun. At least you brought me to a brighter day. She said simply, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear only to have the breeze whip it about her face once more, revealing her smooth neck. Whatever feelings she had towards Albus, she'd never known what they were. But they seemed to fit their odd relationship nonetheless. I'll grant you the privelage of leading the way today. She said confidently, stepping to his side and glancing at the clouds. Despite her status and persona, Semella wasn't necessarily a demanding person; but it was too much fun to banter with Albus, both of them saying things that just proved the other was blessed to be in their presence. Smirking at him slightly Semella finally pocketed her wand in her robes, opening them slightly to reveal a simple white tank top and jeans.

However, her comment did make him smile slightly, for the youngest Potter boy wasn't phased by such comments. Honestly, she should know better, for wasn't she someone he considered an acquaintance of many years? To know that she thought that power was something to be displayed so freely like that didn't startle him, but it didn't sit well with him either. "But your power is but wasted on display in such circumstances, my lovely Semella. Power should be demonstrated in front of true opinions. Nothing less, my love," he said teasingly as he led them out of Azkaban, saluting briefly to the guard as he gave a lopsided smile. On second thought, he paused, turning to the guard and mentioning that he would be back. There was no expression the guard's face, but a single nod that said what he thought of it all. Certainly, Albus wouldn't be welcomed back, but with the Ministry's backing, they would be fools not to allow him in. Or the Potter could always barge his way in, they would be none the wiser about it. He made a convincing liar when necessary, after years of honing said skill in a certain house. After that, he turned his attention back to Semella, taking the time to answer her previous comment about his random appearances.
"And yes, I must always do that. I tend to do that, and enjoy it," he said with a bright smile, for it was true. He did believe that somewhere in her, she really wasn't cut out for all this bullying stuff. Or the stuff that her siblings had defined as normal and a necessity for their younger sister. Youngest child of the Riddles, Albus felt that she was trying to live up to her siblings reputation, just like he had when it came to his time at Hogwarts, after James had made his mark there two years prior. James Sirius Potter was but a name most knew the minute Albus had entered Hogwarts. The boy had struggled to live up to his brother's name - since his professors expected a lot from the next Potter generation - the family name, and the two great people's names he bore on his birth certificate. Albus Wulfric Percival Brian Dumbledore and Severus Snape, although the former's name was a bit hazy due to the fact that it had been so long. Nonetheless, it had been a tough life for Albus, but by fifth year when everything had settled. It was then that Albus began to truly enjoy Hogwarts life.
He grinned as they walked, and laughed softly when she said that he was the other's savior today. Bringing one of her hands to his lips as he kissed it teasingly, he replied, "Then it seems I am more than inclined to drag you out every day in order to prevent further mishaps. I might have to invite you out every other day, then!" he declared cheerily as they walked out, and he grimaced slightly when she teased him about his sea legs. So Albus Severus Potter had something against boat transport; trust Semella to rub it in. "I hate boats," he muttered seriously as he took his seat, unconsciously clutching Semella's arm tightly as he did so. "So you shan't tease me about it. Be a good Riddle, won't you?" he retorted, although it lacked any sort of venom, since he was too busy getting over his nausea to care what she said. This was the one time when Albus was truly vulnerable, so it was perhaps a good thing that semella's wand arm was tightly clutched by the former Slytherin. His life was still plausible to be kept, in such a way.
He didn't speak when she complimented him, but instead was more than happy when his feet touched ground again. As he withdrew his own wand and pointed it at himself, muttering a few spells that would take care of the nausea he had developed from that trip. Finally, when he no longer felt the urge to puke, he was able to address Semella once again. "Happy to be that one," he said cheerily, as he started on a brisk walk, before pausing momentarily as she said that he would get to choose. Her permission unnecessary but oddly comforting, Albus nodded once in return. Transfiguring his robes into something more suited for an outdoor excursion, he contemplated briefly, before, "I always did like The Leaky Cauldron. Does that sit well with you?" Because that was where he wanted to go. He was familiar with the bartender there, so Albus was keen on seeing her again. She was such a lovely lady, after all. And the drinks there were palatable.

i'm the object of all your desires and your attention is all i require Flicking her wand simply Semella rid herself of her robe, caring not where it landed in the world as long as it wasn't on her being any longer. She'd done her witching dues, now was the time for her to relax over a drink with an old friend; the animosity and cruelty that had been pulsing through her moments earlier fading the farther she became from her father. As the youngest child she had the most pull with the Dark Lord ... and as the youngest, she hated him with the most furocity. Which in all reality made little to no sense. Are you truly so concerned over Azkaban prisoners that you'd be inclined to make the effort to stop me daily? She scoffed as they walked along the muggle streets, her mind completely ignoring the muggles that passed them for the first time in months.
She wasn't sure what it was about Albus that held her attention, but he'd kept her out of more trouble in Hogwarts than even Meissa was aware of. Sure, there were those moments where she'd wreak havoc with her three minute older sister. But there were also those moments where she'd cause problems on her own. And the times when Albus had stepped in, saving her by a hair from being expelled; something she was threatened with far too often. Generally for cruelty towards other students and passerby. When she was younger, Semella had no sense of right and wrong; Having been raised in the house of Riddle by Bellatrix ... she'd never been taught that hurting someone to fulfill your own personal needs was wrong. How often had she been thrown under a painful curse so that one of her siblings might have a toy or vice versa? Far too many times for her to even attempt counting. Remebering his remark in the boat about 'good Riddle' Semella shook her head and brushed a few stray strands of hair from her face, tucking them behind her ear; sensual without even trying. As for being a good Riddle .. is there such a thing? She countered, smirking in his direction.
Are you sure you want to be seen with me in such a place as the Leaky Cauldron? She ventured as the continued to walk forward, twirling her wand in her fingers with ease before tucking it away in her special little hiding place; one of those things no one ever knew about. After all, not many in Diagon Alley took kindly to any of the Riddle children; although Semella was much more likely to be taken in than either of her siblings; considering she did not walk around doing the dirty work for Death Eaters. She simply sat back and supported them, if she met someone interested she immediately got a hold of her sister. And yet, Semella was probably the most valuable informant for Death Eaters; her mind held every ounce of information that involved the group and her family. There was not a single secret involving them or the Order of the Phoenix that she wasn't aware of. Perhaps that was what her father feared the most, why he craved her loyalty so. Shaking the thoughts from her mind quickly she linked her arm with Albus's. The tortured hissing in her mind finally gone as she was far away from her father.
Tilting her head to the side as the rounded a corner Semella felt herself become more playful, as often was the case if she and Albus weren't discussing something urgent. So how is the love life of the youngest Potter boy? She questioned, tossing an eyebrow into the air whilst the rest of her expression showed no malace or cruel intent. Simply a conversation starter. And despite the fact that she had some interesting love issues to worry about, she couldn't help but know that some part of her would be slightly put out if a girl found her way into his heart. Simply because she'd always been the first one there next to his sister.

"I'm truly concerned about you that I will try to stop you daily," he replied smoothly, not missing a beat as he gave his reply to her. "After all, I'd hate to see someone like you have their beauty marred by the harshness that Azkaban is infamous for." His reply was elegant, straight to the point, and even included some complimenting of Semella. Nothing truly better than that could top it, unless some man suddenly popped by and proposed marriage to Semella. The one thing Albus could not do - unless he and Semella were pursuing a relationship, which was not so in this case. The scandalous affair that would break out after he had done such a thing; no doubt the whole Wizarding World would know the next day should he and Semella be seen having more than just a simple friendship, as he had stressed on previous occasions whenever asked. Bloody paparazzi, Albus thought bitterly in his mind, them being one of the few to receive his genuine dislike and utter disgust of. Albus scorn was rare, and those who received it were few - so it was without doubt that Albus really did hate journalists who were only interested in gossip instead of delivering proper substantial news.
He always flipped through their columns without a second glance when he read the morning papers.
With the intention of not looking as she shed herself of her robes, Albus tugged at the tie of the shirt that he had transfigured his clothes into, pulling at it in order to assume a look of as though he had just gotten off work. Which, by leading Semella away from the place he was supposed to be, was what he had just done. He did give her his attention when she mentioned whether there was something as a good Riddle. "There's always space for one. A first for everything. First Potter in Slytherin; now just boot yourself to being the first good Riddle," he suggested easily, smiling at her as he led her along, taking this opportunity to admire Semella as he did. It had been some time since he had seen the other, and if it was possible, she had grown prettier. Truthfully, ladies did grace with age. While boys did not have the same laws, Semella did look like the fine lady she had been expected to be. Not like her sister - other than the air they had around them - Semella was much prettier. But he had mentioned this before (or thought of it), and in order to still appear the clean gentleman, Albus would not think of it anymore. For now.
"I cannot think of a better companion to have, nor do I wish for another," he countered once again, not caring for the fact that he would end up being talked about because Semella had been choice of companion for a drink. He certainly didn't care about that, nor did he want to. Albus had gained immunity from press - or so he had thought - since he was constantly exposed to it since young. One would know that his grandmother had personally manhandled a journalist who thought it alright to force the boy to answer questions about his parents and his extended family. Gossip about the Potter family paid well, apparently. No doubt most of the kids who were descendants of the Golden Trio faced the same problems, so Albus never made a point about complaining about it. It did no good for him, nor did anyone feel particularly charitable to listen to a Potter's small complaints about life, when there was more to be dealing with.
He was stunned by her question about his love life though. Suddenly feeling his throat become very dry at that point, Albus grimaced. "Non-existent, if you're wondering. Still single, other than that one crush I had in fifth year. Of which you are still sworn to secrecy. If Meissa knew, my days would be hell," he answered awkwardly, not sure whether it was right to say this. However, his insecure mask was soon replaced by a happy expression, as he added in joyously, "I have no idea how I'll ever get one. I've got too many ladies in my life, after all. Perhaps one of them should just apply, save me the grief." Smirking at that, he continued to lead her down the street, before halting in front of the signboard that led to The Leaky Cauldron. Opening the door for her, he entered after she had done so, before leading them to a seat. In the Muggle part of The Leaky Cauldron, surely they wouldn't have to bear with much of the whispers that Wizarding folk were more than accustomed to doing. Semella would feel more comfortable here, or at least, that was what Albus was betting on.

i'm the object of all your desires and your attention is all i require There had always been a strange bond between the youngest Riddle and the youngest Potter boy. Never had they attempted to label it or figure it out in any way. After all, it'd been quite a bit of trouble keeping people from thinking they were going to start their own brand of war in Hogwarts, much less attempt to figure themselves out. So they'd spent their lives being close friends, whether they were cruel or unusual towards each other never seemed to matter as they were always where when needed the most. Semella had threatened many fools over Albus and he'd kept her from being sent to the very Juvenile Rehab she now ran. How ironic. Tilting her head to the side with an eyebrow raised Semella gave off a two-beat chuckle. I'm sure the fools that run Azkaban would not put two Riddles in the same vacinity. She stated confidently, knowing what they thought of her and her siblings simply being there; how terrified would they be to house her there. But I do appreciate the concern Mister Potter. Her voice held a light, teasing tone as they continued to walk and many continued to stare. Any compliment directed towards her from Albus never fell on deaf ears. She was always aware of the dangerous friendship they held. Especially when the paparazzi would get a bug up their butt and pursue them for a short amount of time; desperate to find some sort of scandal between the children of arch-enemies.
I'm not sure Good and Riddle could ever collide my dear friend. Someone in my family would die of the shock and then where would I be? Besides, being the way I am is so much more interesting. She stated simply, tossing a small smirk in his direction. There was very little that this man could say to get inside her skin and anger her; after rolling around in diapers with one another only to go to the Winter Ball together; to say they knew each other in and out was an understatement. Though Semella and her sister always came first in one another's worlds. It was simply the way of being a Riddle.
Whilst they walked Semella could feel Albus's eyes fall upon her every now and again, studying her appearance. The twenty-one year old was acutely aware of her beauty and the power it held. But never had she thought that Albus noticed such things when it came to her. Generally when they walked along the streets of London with one another, she would quickly become accustomed to the shocked and terror-stricken stares that crossed everyone's expression. And then the terror would soften as their eyes fell upon the youngest son of the wizarding world's 'great savior.' Oh how they balanced one another out. If you do not mind the condescending expressions you will receive due to my presence than I certainly don't mind entering the Leaky Cauldron with you. She said smoothly, tucking a few strands of hair behind her ear. Revealing that pesky X like scar on the base of her neck. A story few knew well, if at all.
At the mention of his fifth year crush Semella found herself giggling like it was that same year all over again. My dear, your life would be much worse than hell were she to know such things. Her eyes were dancing with the humorous memory as she glanced at him. Surely you cannot tell me that no one has caught your fancy, vice versa? She questioned, shocked that no one had plucked up the handsome Potter. She remembered days where she had to sit about and listen to the Slytherin girls awe over him, how handsome and mysterious he was. Such self control as to not laugh had taken her weeks to control. That would be a long application, to say the least. Not to mention security check. Stopping in the street she looked to him with a ecstatic grin. Me. If they can survive such an interogation perhaps they can handle you. Her words were filled for protection for the boy, very similar to the way he would speak about her and her dating world.
Slipping into the Leaky Cauldron before Albus, Semella was met with a wave of fearful glances that soon disappated at the sight of Albus Potter. Surely this Riddle girl couldn't and would not hurt them whilst he was in her presence. Perhaps they were right, her eyes said. Catching the eye of another she smirked, or perhaps that was a very misled assumption. Glancing to Albus as he spoke and they sat themselves upon the stools she tilted her head to the side gracefully. Firewhiskey. She stated without hesitation, her drink of choice regardless of which pub she would enter.

( WANTED TO KNOW SOME MORE ) "as you said,"
he interjected her sentence, "fools. they might, and god knows what it must be like to be near your dad twenty four seven." his eyes glazed over as they spoke, his words surprisingly said with distaste and a hint of venom. he bore no ill feelings to the wardens, certainly, for their job was very tough. however, the idea of Semella in prison simply did not sit well with him. he had known this girl for far too long to think that she would willingly entreat herself into a cell fit for only people who had committed inhuman things. he wouldn't allow one of his closest friends to take up residence in that foul prison. he certainly did not think that she was a criminal of any sort. not only that, he was a protective person, so the last thing he wanted was anyone he felt relatively close with to be in jail. if his siblings were to somehow end there, Albus would throw an even greater fuss at such a situation, because he knew his siblings were simply incable of such things. probably an equal fuss for Semella, since she was family - wait, when had he started considering her there? they were close friends at best, right? Albus shook his head, shaking himself off that train of thought. instead, he gave a smile as she said that she appreciated the concern that he showed to her. "it's the truth," he said cheekily, a hint of protest but nothing more. "you can always join my family," he offered helpfully, the corner of his lip curling into a small smile as he laughed, a tinkling laughter that one might consider girly, but felt oddly refreshing in the same way. it was one that he wasn't keen in displaying, and often only laughed as such in the presence of trusted people; people who had his explicit trust. "I'd do something weird, like either force mother to adopt you, or marry you so that you can be a Potter. now, good and Potters do come hand in hand." he grinned wickedly upon finishing. he might have been half-serious about the whole adoption issue in order to make her be good, but he was completely serious on the note of her joining his family. he'd be more than glad to have her there, if she had nowhere else to go. hell, he would indeed willingly marry her, if that was the only way. Semella was in no way lacking as a wife; name does not make a person, so one could jolly well not argue about that point. Albus didn't give a damn if her name was a Riddle or a Lestrange. and neither would his parents, once they were sure that their youngest son was adamant about this issue. neither elder Potter wanted to get on the wrong side of that Weasley temper that Albus had. it was one of the prominent features he had that his siblings lacked. he let out a barking laugh when she said that she would be his own personal security check. "and for that you know you'll always be my favorite girl, other than Lily," he teased gently, a smile pulling the corners of his lips upwards. "but with you there, I don't think I'll ever get a spouse for myself anymore. most would be intimidated by your beauty to think themselves worthy," he said thoughtfully, although he cracked a smile to show that he was joking, obviously. Albus wasn't really looking for a prospective partner, yet. At twenty-one, he had much a life to live, and wizards did live extremely long, after all. he could get married at fifty, if he wanted to - but he really didn't want to wait that long. he knew he was an eligible bachelor, for the son of Harry Potter was certainly an eligible bachelor, as were the daughters. James was as good as married, since Albus knew all about his little love life with Harberbelle Clearwater - one would have to be a fool to not see their love - and Lily? Lily could score dates easily, and he didn't doubt that she would get attached before him. but Albus hadn't found anyone he liked particularly. years of being friends with Riddles and said enemies of his family had trained him to not really care much for the sweetheart girl. they didn't provide as much spark as he was used to, since his constant arguing with said friends brought about this constantly. Firewhiskey, her order was, and as he nodded and made for the counter, he grinned at the Barman there. not much of a drinker usually, he could make an an exception for this time. he could make an exception for his friends anytime, really. he just wasn't a seasoned drinker, and would have to watch his intake of the alcoholic liquid. "two Firewhiskeys, and one cup of Gillywater for good measure." in such a case that they were severely drunk, dunking water on them would perhaps aid in the sobering of the two. smiling as he retrived the bottles and the cup of water as asked for, he slid over the payment, being more than able to afford the drinks thanks to his family's vast amount of wealth. slipping back to the table, he slid one bottle of Firewhiskey over to Semella, before opening his own with ease. "cheers, to the best company one could buy," he said with a lopsided smile, raising his own bottle of Firewhiskey and waiting for her to do the same, their bottles meeting halfway with a satisfying clink of the glass. i'm the object of all your desires and your attention is all i require Having known each other for many years, it was no surprise that Semella Riddle and Albus Potter still made their rounds around Diagon Alley and other places as well, generally arm in arm. But what shocked the passerby was that they looked so utterly peaceful whilst doing it. They didn't hold any animosity towards one another whatsoever, closest of friends without allowing their own personal secrets to get in the way. Albus being part of the Order was most certainly an issue were he to discuss it with Semella, someone high in the Death Eater ring. Two utterly opposite people in a very dedicated and honest friendship. So unexpected.
At the mention of her father and Azkaban once more Semella noticed a shudder rise up her spine. How she detested the man she was forced to call father for he was the one who'd managed to slip into her mother's bed. It was beyond irritating to say the least. I can only imagine how suicidal they are upon returning home at the end of the evening. She said something, silently grateful that she hadn't had to grow up with the man anywhere in her sight aside from the occasional forced visits; the ones her mother would obsess over to the point of breakdown. What her mother, Bellatrix, saw in that man ... Semella would never know much less want to. Noting Albus's protective tone Semella tossed him a small grin, her eyes lighting up for several moments. After all, they knew each other well, they'd grown with one another. Watching each other go from being pubescent to the adults they were now; successful and attractive. A smirk crossed her lips at the memory of Albus dancing with her at a school ball, allowing all the school to talk while they laughed the night away. Ahh, the memories she had with this man.
Laughing gently Semella shook her head. I'm sure having me as a friend is enough to provide your mother with anxiety, marrying me could put her in an early grave. She said, still smiling at the humor of such a situation. Though the idea of marrying Albus wasn't completey unappealing. She could certainly see herself sitting in a rocking chair still making jokes about the past with this man, years and years from now. Though she does seem to shovel a good amount of food down my throat whenever we brave your front steps.
As they ordered their drinks Semella couldn't help but feel calm and collected; something she hadn't felt in quite some time. A shy smile, a nearly foreign expression on a Riddle's delicately featured face, crossed her lips; no one but Albus would say that she was their favorite girl aside from his sister. Come now, I'm not so terrifying that any female suitor wouldn't approach you. She stated slowly, winking in his direction. Banter between the two seemed all too easy. Oh sir, you compliment me so highly only to save your hide. She teased, nudging him gently. The moment her drink was settled before her Semella took a long gulp, allowing the burning sensation to fill every sense of her being; ridding her of any lingering feelings of hatred and anger. An old friend plus her favorite liquor? She most certainly wasn't worrying about the man who had helped spawn her rotting away in a prison cell. So tell me Mister Potter, what do you fear the most at this very moment? She questioned, a cheeky grin leveling her pouted lips against one another; the glass hovering against those pouted lips. ( WANTED TO KNOW SOME MORE ) He held his own worries about Semella. Despite remaiing neutral on the whole stand of the Pureblood issue - he belonged neither to the Order or to Rowan, of course, and certainly not the Death Eaters. His father's ways had not been impressed on him - he loved his father, he did, but the Order of the Phoenix was not something he could see himself fighting for. Perhaps he was selfish like that, he mused with a small smile. He didn't want to fight for everyone, for there was only so much a man like him could do. If he had to fight, it would be to fight for someone or something he really cared about. This was his stand, and the reason why he remained neutral in this whole fight. His allegiance was to him and him alone, as dangerous as that could be. He shook his head remorsefully at her words, saying, "Because he could not get rid of your father, my father lives with the guilt of all those who have to be near him."
It was odd, to lament the fact that Semella's father was the bane of Albus' father's existence, but Merlin knew that was a truth. It had been established in a godamn prophecy, for heaven's sake! "My mother has established herself as a woman who is not weak. She handled the War just fine, and she's handled James. That's a feat in itself, don't you think?" he replied with a good-natured smile, shaking his head. "They dare not object to me, if I have to be slightly boastful. The youngest son always gets the best treatment," he joked cheerily, and laughed duly when she complained about the food. "Grandma started that. She used to make sure that I eat more than three portions. Even Uncle Ron met his limit at three. A young scrawny boy like myself? Doomed to eat four." He made a face at the memory of attending the family gatherings and eating more than he really should have been made to eat. His hand tightening slightly around the bottle of his Firewhiskey, he shook his head, tossing the memory out of his head. This was not something he wished to dwell on, nor was it wise to. "She probably thought you were too thin, too." His tone held amusement as he took yet another sip of the drink that he had ordered for the two of them, he rolled his eyes when she said that no one would be scared of her. "Trust me, you can see it in their eyes. I've got girls come up to me and suddenly just break down. Can you believe how surprised I was? They seemed so afraid, yet so expectant at the same time." He stifled a grin, for while that incident was traumatising, it was also oddly amusing at the same time. "You are very scary, my love. Not that I would have it any other way, although when I'm old and sixty I know who to blame for my lack of a spouse," he retorted, although all in good will. He had blamed her for a fair share of things, vice-versa, but grudges were never held with the man. Boys don't seem to remember grudges, someone had once theorised, and Albus was proud to say that in relation to that, it was true. Okay, maybe not proud, but he would be sufficient evidence to that matter. He donned an expression of mock horror, and in an equally pitched voice, "Never! I mean them all the time, of course." He closed his eyes, giving her a cheeky smile before turning her attention back to his drink, the alcohol causing his very body to tingle. At her question of what he feared, he shrugged. "Lots of things. At this moment? The bill. No, I'm kidding. I'm worried about... this whole war, actually. The impending one at least. I'm not fighting in it, but I don't think it deserves to have a fight started because of it. People die, so I'm worried about losing those I'm close to." A Potter-type answer, through and through, he heard his mind criticising - or was that a compliment? The alcohol was meddling with his brain, now. TAG! Semella Echo Riddle ♥ MUSE! RESET by Super Junior! STATUS! Completed! NOTES! true that! CREDIT! i'm the object of all your desires and your attention is all i require Widening her eyes slightly so that she would be able to see into Albus's without bother, Semella thought on his sentence. At the guilt that Harry Potter felt at being unable to destroy her father. What shocked her was the feeling of guilt she felt with the man rather than the hatred towards the man that she'd been brought up to feel. Another reason pointing to Semella being unlike the rest of her Death Eater family; she saw more of the world for what it was rather than all the things people were fighting for around her. However, the loyalty inside her refused to allow her to simply be neutral. Perhaps if your father had been able to fully destroy him ... your father would have been destroyed as well. So you might look at this as a good thing, correct? She ventured, tilting her head to the side whilst her slender fingers traced the infamous X scar that resided at the base of her neck.
A gentle giggle made it's way past Semella's lips before she took another burning sip of her liquor. Only Albus could make her seem like a little child whilst they were doing such adult activities. Back in the day there had been times when the youngets Riddle would find a way to sneak out during Holdays with her family, which in code meant; finding a way to free her father, to go on strange adventures with Albus and his family. A family that, though they knew of her relations and origin, welcomed her with open arms for the most part. I cannot argue with such a statement. James was an adventure all his own.
She said, her eyes twinkling gently at the man across from her. The one that she had unexpectedly formed a strong bond with nonetheless. Your grandmother would make the Queen of England eat until she burst were she given a chance. Semella teased gently, flicking a bit of ice that had fallen onto the table towards Albus before wiping what few water droplets were on her fingertips, across her lips. I can't be offended for I am too thin. Though I fear were I to visit your family too often I wouldn't be for much longer. Semella stated with a sweet smiile crossing her lush lips. The conversations that could so easily A rather shocked expression flitted across Semella's delicate features before a more satisfied one followed. I'm not sure why but I feel so utterly satisfied when you tell me such things. A smirk curved onto her lips before they wrapped around the glass in her hand, swallowing a large amount of firewhiskey. Still unable to feel the burning sensation in her mind that would signify her inebriation.Tossing her head back after swallowing a loud laugh filtered through the air, a very odd sound. I'll make you a deal my old friend. If you're nearing that age I'll marry you so that you cannot complain. Her eyes held a devious, adventurous expression. The green sparkling as they stared at a man that would fight for the youngest Riddle girl to the death. At his words of the war Semella bit down gently on her lower lip, unsure of how to speak on such a subject. After all, she was equal with her sister in standing with leadership of the death eaters. Their brother as well. She knew of every single fighting tactic and strategy that each side held. And yet, here she sat, with Albus Potter; choosing to spend her time with someone who was neutral in such a situation rather than find someone else to fight with them. I think perhaps, everyone has a fear involving this war ... something could go wrong no matter what She ventured, biting once again on her lip while her hand reached forward and laced her fingers with his. When she seemed to be waiting for more than just a single word reply - he got quite sick fo those, too - he ventured on, expressing his thoughts in words that he thought remotely sensible and able to convey his true feelings. "You wouldn't be in that much pain," he added, "If my father had the luck to completely vanish yours." Call it ironic, but it was obvious that the twins conveniently disliked their father. On the contrary, Albus was disgustingly close to his dad, given that they had the same good looks - and in turn, shared them with his grandfather - and the fact that he had always gone to his father for everything. Albus always thought that James was more of the momma's boy, if you got his drift. No, Albus was close to his father, and thus while he couldn't understand it, he definitely knew of Semella and Meissa's feelings towards their father, who was locked away in Azkaban. He was grateful that his father was alive, but at the same time he felt sad that they were constantly reminded of the fact, and that their father never seemed to be a pleasant topic for them.
"And always constantly tried to hit on you, that is, until he found out you were a Riddle. He tried to persuade me not to be friends with you, you know, and when I declined, he said I must be hopelessly in love with you. I was a fool for being like that, but if I chose to marry you, he'd give me his blessings. Spoken as though at the age of thirteen, I was going to get married." Making a pffft noise as he recalled his brother's words, Albus suddenly felt as though he was a very mature bloke that most people didn't seem to realise, and that in all honesty, James was just a huge prat. Lived up to his namesake, just like Albus did by being a very wise boy indeed. The laugh that escaped his mouth was certainly not forced at her barb towards his grandmother on the event of food, and said cheekily, "I hear she's rejected a few invitations, to this date. Grandmother always did say she was a bit on the thin side, and for a queen that certainly won't do." Memories of his own cheek being pinched and being called bony flooded back in at this point, and he had to desist from making a face at them, as he was all too fond of doing when recalling such events in his twenty one years of life.
Stopping the ice cube in its tracks with his finger, he felt childish as he flicked it back, as though they were playing table hockey and this was the puck, with their fingers as the playing sticks. Knocking it back nicely at her with a crooked smile in her direction, he murmured in response to her opinion of herself, "I'd like you any shape, thin or fat. I've seen you as my friend for far too long, don't you think?" It was true. Semella was probably his oldest friend. He knew Harper before her, but Harper was closer to his brother, and as such they were not really that close. Not close enough to earn a spot in his heart, anyway. He knew a lot about her, and could probably challenge their brother on that point, if Albus was only fond of challenging Candenriel on anything. That man was someone he wouldn't like to mess with.
He almost choked on Firewhiskey when he heard Semella's proposition. Green eyes widening in pure surprise, he stuttered out, "You can't! That's a bloody load more years, and that means you'll have to keep yourself single before I get married. Riddle, I'd hate to deprive you of your own love life. Why would you want the company of an old Albus then, anyway?" Albus imagined that at that age, he'd probably have wrinkles lining his face. Definitely not the best sight, and she wouldn't want a husband like that, if she could. It was certainly not something that he'd imagine a Riddle would be satisfied with, if he were to go with Meissa's opinion.
His expression turned solemn as they spoke of the war, nodding understandingly at her words. The war. War. What a word to utter, to say, how he disliked it. There were reasons why he was neutral. There was nothing better than it, even if his siblings were devoted to the cause that their father headed. He wasn't foolish enough to swear an allegiance. It was for good, but he hated fighting. He hated it so much, it was probably the only thing that truly deserved the dislike of the Potter. Quietly, he looked at Semella, before speaking in a soft voice, "I hate losing people. Whatever happens, you'll be safe, right?" As would his siblings, his parents, the people he cared about. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

i'm the object of all your desires and your attention is all i require Tilting her head to the side, Semella allowed Albus's words to sink into her being. Toying with the idea of her father having been destroyed when he should have been. But she also knew what that would have meant for dear old Harry Potter, he probably would have been vanquished as well. Leaving the world in a state that no one would have quite understood. Perhaps my pain is a small sacrifice when I know that you're family had a father. Her words were earnest, her eyes showed such a fact. There was something about Albus Potter that weakened the younger Riddle, though she had never revealed such a thing to anyone; not even her dearest twin sister. There was something much too dangerous about knowledge like that.
A small giggle emanated from her pouted lips at the mention of James' past antics regarding her. That is, until he knew of her heritage. He backed away as if a snake had bitten him; damn last names. Semella remembered the way people would look upon her during school, as if she were disgusting and in desperate need of a wash. But she still held her head high, proud of who she was regardless of her opinions involving her father. James has always been a tease about my last name. Though I think he's warmed up to it, perhaps convinced it would change one day.
She said, a smile still playing across her lips. The lips that had been her mother's in the insane woman's prime. At the rest of Albus's statement Semella silently wondered what it would feel like to blush, because such a statement deserved a blush of the most favorable kind. Raking her fingers through her hair for a moment Semella sighed gently, her penetrating green eyes holding Albus's gaze. That would be a marriage to rock the wizarding world from it's hinges. She stated playfully, though in the back of her mind she wondered what it would be like to do such a thing with Albus. To belong to him and no one else. Shoving away all notions regarding marriage and the youngest Potter boy Semella returned to listening to him speak. Another giggle fell from her being at the mention of his Grandmother, an utterly pleasant and entertaining woman to say the least. Semella always enjoyed her company, even if she was gorging her with food. At this next statement Semella felt a small blush fire across her cheeks and disappate quickly. Her mind whirring at the idea that he'd been complimenting her so all evening was so odd in her world. Growing up in a household where the Cruciatus curse was considered normal whilst being punished and insults were meant to make your skin tougher. I'm glad you'd still love me were I thin or fat. Though if I were fat I'd hope you'd have the decency to help me remedy the matter. Her eyes danced as she flicked the ice back towards him. Her eyes following the ice to his fingers before finding his eyes once more. Lifting her hands in the air and looking about Semella raised a brow. I have a love life? Please, if so, point me in that direction. She teased, leaning across the table long enough to ruffle his already messy hair. Hmm... Should we pick a more appropriate age for you to marry me at then? That way we know we will not end up old and alone in a small house of cats? Her question was serious as was her idea to marry him in the future were they to end up alone at that age. It would make utter sense to them whether or not anyone else understood it. Taking another sip of firewhiskey she studied his expression, the way he held himself. All of it folding into one being, the man she'd known since they were eleven. As the subject became more solemn, leaving jokes of food and marriage in the dust, Semella felt her heart tighten. Her knowledge of the war was vast and it made her ill occasionally. How Tom Riddle and Bellatrix Lestrange had spawned a child who did not thrive on other's pain it was a mystery.
