SHE'S GOING INSANE! SHE'LL NEVER SURVIVE WITHOUT THE MONEY & FAME With a silent sigh that pushed lazily through her blood red lips, the dark eyes of Meissa Riddle flicked down to her wrist. The watch that adorned her pale arm was a gift from her Grandmother and was worth well over 10,000 galleons, but it rarely graced her body as time wasn't usually an issue for her, recently however she was beginning to think there were far too few hours in the day and she found herself constantly running late for whatever had fit into her schedule, something that she usually detested and avoided at all costs. The very idea that the Junior Undersecretary to the Minister was late was completely out of the question at all times. Though now it came down to it, Meissa wasn't exactly sure where she'd been spending all her time recently, it was as if hours had turned to minutes in her world and she was always in a rush. Maybe she should cut down the amount of time she spent preening herself and spending money, but that was what made life worth living, and it took her mind away from the activities of the Death Eaters that was slowly threatening to take over her life. Meissa was already a misery, to lose herself completely in her work was something she wasn't going to allow.
As the high pitched click of her heels increased slightly, showing the need for speed that had taken her, she walked swiftly down the busy streets, watching with amusement as people jumped from her path. No matter how many years she lived, there was little doubt that the simple act of scaring the hell out of every witch, wizard or child that crossed her gaze, would ever get old. They were of course being ridiculous, she would never risk such exposure or indeed prison time simply so she could enjoy a few moments of pleasure watching another human squirm. Though, without even knowing who she was she was a thing to gawk at, with her long exposed legs and dark appearance she held a hint of exotic entwined with a hint of power. The added extras that came with the sullen but beautiful genes of her parents only enhanced the danger or her form, and when it came to business with the opposite sex, even if her father had murdered and tortured someone close to them, she could still charm them easily around the slim little finger on her slender hands. When the crowd eased around her, Diagon Alley finally opened up and her chocolate coloured eyes settled on the shop lined street that was lain out before her. For once, there was an actual reason for her to find herself in such a place, the small package that rested in her bag, wrapped tightly in a thick layer of newspaper was of extreme importance to her family. It needed to be put back where it belonged, deep in the overflowing vault of the Riddle family.
With her feet eating up the cobbles beneath her and her vision fixed on the looming destination that was the marble white isor of Gringrotts Wizarding Bank, Meissa Riddle appeared as she always did, like a woman on a mission. Though as was rare with her, the wand that often graced her fingers was tucked idly inside the pocket of her bag, far from her reach if anything should happen and she would need to take it. Many would suggest it careless of her to let such a slip up occur, but in truth, it just made things a little more easy. With the wand in an easy distance, there were few who could out duel the woman in head to head combat, after all, growing up in a household such as hers, it was hardly a surprise that wandwork was as important as breakfast. As the small large building rose before her, she let the half finished cigarette to the ground fall discarded to the ground where the small white stick hit the ground with barely a sound, scattering ashes in its wake. Ignoring the disapproving looks shot towards her, she brought the heel of her expensive stilettos up before crashing them down on the still lit cigarette to extinguish its life once and for all.

Groggily walking down the street, Katherine was carelessly swung her handbag about. Mornings were never easily for her, but she just had to get another mythology book. This time about the god Pluto of Rome. She had searched furiously for one of the few copies of the book. It was a heavy cost, but Katherine thought of it as an investment. Of course, there were only so few copies of the book published! Finally in front of the small antique bookshop, the bell atop of the door rang as the entrance became ajar. Katherine's beady eyes glanced across the entire store, taking in all details as she always did. A habit that was occasionally helpful. The shopkeeper had welcomed her in, she awkwardly followed him to see her book awaiting for her. It was as if it were calling her name, she smiled, her eyes sparkling. After paying the price, she thanked the shopkeeper repeatedly. The bell rang again, but for some reason, Katherine thought to herself, the bell sounded more cheerful when she left. She grinned sheepishly, book in hand. She couldn't wait to start it, debating whether or not to read it on the way back to Hogwarts. She was clumsy enough as she was. But her curiosity won, she opened the book and began reading. She was deeply engrossed in the tales of the mysterious god, only occasionally peering outside the lines of the book to check if she was going the right way. Some nasty glares were thrown at her, since she was constantly bumping into people. Sighing, she thought if it were a better idea to just save the excitement for later. "A few more pages wouldn't matter..." she told herself. And continued reading. After only a few lines, she had found herself on her buttocks on the ground. And in front of her, she found the beautiful Meissa Riddle, looking quite angry. She then began to notice, that she had ran into the scariest woman in the world. -------- katherine is wearing this today.

SHE'S GOING INSANE! SHE'LL NEVER SURVIVE WITHOUT THE MONEY & FAME Even from here, her dark keen eyes could see the queue forming inside the Wizarding bank. It was exactly the same as every other time hysteria set in. More people wanted their money with them in case they couldn't get to the Alley and the Goblins were upping security, it all meant for lengthy queue's and endless questions on whether you really were who you were saying you were. It was beyond tedious, and many a time she had felt the urge to punch one of those disgusting creatures square in the jaw, but it wouldn't have been very 'ministry official' of her now would it.
Now as she gazed through the thick glass, its surface sheened by magic that many would not notice, she contemplated her next move. Did she enter the bank and attempt to throw her metaphorical 'weight' around? Demand attention due to her name, the amount of money that was encased in her vault and her Ministry position, or did she simply come back later? The second option seemed easier in her current state of laziness, but she really didn't want to have to wait until after work when she had planned on meeting her sister for a late lunch. Now really was the best option.
With a slight sigh she ruffled the length of her hair with her hand, combing out the messy curls that she had not bothered to primp today, as she glanced around she noticed the alley had slowly begun to fill up, meaning that the time was getting late, she should really be getting back to work, not that she imagined she had much to do there. She's probably just find more and more notes from one of those darn Potters who seemed to be everywhere she turned these days.
Trying not to think about it, she realised that one of the new people in the alley was a small dark haired girl, who was currently gazing up at her, a mixture of fear and awe evident on her small features. With an annoyed huff she held eye contact with what she could only assume was a student for a second before starting in a low drawl Can I help you her icy tone hinting that the girl had best not say yes Or do you simply think that I am a public spectacle for you to stare at? Of course she was used to it, almost every man, woman and child that had passed her had at least glanced over for a moment, this girl was just unlucky to be caught.

The past few seconds had took her by surprise. Replaying the whole scene in her head over and over. She knew she shouldn't have worn heels today. She wasn't used to them after all. Why wasn't Divination class teaching how to know when you're about to do something stupid? Why, why, why on earth did I trip over nothing again? And in front of Meissa Riddle? The girl glanced around, seeing as she was being stared at with looks of pity. What the hell do I do now? She clumsily got to her feet. Grabbing her bags and her book. She turned around to face Meissa Riddle, "I-I'm sorry...I kind of stared." She probably looked scared, which would probably make her angrier
