kasey had never felt uncomfortable during a day or night at hogwarts. not even when he was young or ill. hogwarts had always felt like home. so, when he woke up in a cold sweat during the middle of this night, kasey couldn't shake it. he kept questioning himself as he walked with baited breath and on tip toes to the staff bathroom. was it a nightmare that woke me? he wondered. perhaps i'm ill. he internally suggested. either way he hoped a quick shower - to wash him of the thin layer of cold, sticky sweat - and a visit to his tower would clear his mind and give him the peace he would need to return to his bed and sleep until breakfast.
the water from the shower was warm. the soap smelled of a sweet musk that kasey liked to think of as his scent; it was familiar and comforting. the water fell gently on his shoulders and was as appealing as human fingers massaging him. the soap removed him of the sweat. still, as comfortable as his body was, his mind would not rest. it could have been a good dream. he though, but changed his mind quickly. then why would i want to wake up and abandon a good dream? he managed to shake himself free of his thoughts as he towel dried his hair and body and climbed into a pair of trousers and a rather muggles fashionable shirt.
he walked quietly and in the shadows as he made his way to the towers. he knew for a fact that he would not get in trouble for being out of bed at this hour. after all, he was a professor now and he would be the one handing out detentions. still, he liked the excitement of stealth. it helped to lighten his mood. in fact, he felt so much better, a small smile played at his lips and he hummed, quietly, his own spy theme music. he laughed at his own childish antics as he began the walk up to the towers, where he expected he could have a moment alone and breath in the warm night air. instead, he found someone already doing that very thing. he could only see the silhouette of this person, but he cocked his head to the side as he studied this person outlined by the moonlight.
so, what do you think your punishment should be for being out of bed at this hour? he asked, almost positive that this person was a student.

Gabriella woke up because she was extremely hot and sweaty. She was normally never this hot or sweaty She sighed. Her body felt like a heater. She couldn't be getting sick that wasn't possible. She hardly ever got sick. No this couldn't be possible. She shook her head no. She sighed and stripped the covers off of her hot body. She walked over to the bathroom. She looked at herself in the mirror. Her eyes were wide and sweat covered her face. She sighed. She needed to shower. She need to get clean.
She stepped in the hot warm water. It washed over her like a peace. She grabbed some Ralph Lauren Wild Body wash. This was here favorite scent. It was light but not to light. She washed all over and she washed her hair in Light strawberry smelling .When she was done she stepped out and wrapped herself in the nice warm towel. She need some fresh air she decided. She quickly put on some tank tops and jeans and a jacket, and sneakers. She sighed and decided to walk up to the Astronomy tower. She was finally there. She was staring out the widow when she heard a voice.
" Why should I be punished? You can punish another teacher." She said laughing softly. She was laughing, gently, because he thought she was student.

a small smile was beginning to take its place on his soft lips. this smile was a smile of triumph for having caught which ever student this may be, but also as a tool for comfort and reassurance. he really would not hand out a punishment. he just did not have it in him. as gabriella wickson, the charms professor, turned around to face him his neck and cheeks burned in an embarassed blush. i, he began, his tongue stumbling. i, he paused again, doing his best to apologize and not make an idiot of himself. i thought you were a student! i'm sorry!
he was very thankful for the absence of light in the room, so that she could not see how red his face had gotten. he placed a palm on the back of his neck in a nervous gesture. he looked at every bit of the tower and even out on the grounds through the open windows. eventually, his blue eyes landed on her. he noticed that she was, in fact, rather young looking but attractive. he hadn't noticed until now that the professors of hogwarts were growing younger and more attractive as generations passed. they were growing father apart, too.
he remembered the professors during his years at school, and how the teachers would converse in the corridors and at meals. he barely knew gabriella, and he wasn't even sure if she knew his first name. uhm, he began, his tongue still unsure of itself. i'm kasey. i'm the astronomy professor.

Gabby laughed and smiled at him. " Oh Kasey, and I get that a lot and I know who you are. I am Gabriella. The Charms professor" She said softly. Her voice was soft and warm towards the professor. She looked him up and down. He was quite handsome. She noticed his face was very sharp and quite beautiful looking. She smiled at him and gently and gracefully as she could st down on the ledge of the window. She looked out the window. The stars were shining and the moon was glistening. The moonlight shone down upon her, making her face light p and look softer than it already was. She sighed and smiled at Kasey. She was going to even say anything. Why should she? Sure they worked together but that was just all. Gabby was the type of girl you would never date or even think about dating.
Gabby continued to look at the beautiful, memorizing night sky. She loved the night time. She was starting to feel better but she still felt like crap. Gabby wasn't much for talking most of the time, so she stayed silent and continued to keep her thoughts to herself and her words on her tongue and not in the air for everyone to hear. The truth is she didn't know what to say. The other truth was new people really didn't like her at all.She was funky, bright and to.... outgoing for most people when she was out in public for the most part. She sighed and looked at Kasey. She was going to leave there relationship to work only. Sure, she need friends but... she rather live with her daughter than disappoint people. She hated that. so she was just going to stay silent. It would be for the best.

gabriella, he repeated without much thought, before shaking his head and rattling his thoughts in order. i knew that, actually. your name, i mean. the class you teach, as well. he balled his fists and tucked them into the pockets of his pants. he stepped forward with caution to stand next to her at the windows ledge. he looked to the sky, trying to think of anything he could say. he noticed all of his favorite stars and constellations. that's the constellation aquila. it's best seen during this month. it's usually at its best visibility around nine in the evenings though, so we've missed it tonight.
he looked to her and offered her a small, friendly smile. the stars all have a purpose.
[/color] he said simply, looking back to the night sky. he let the silence surround them and didn't say anything more on the subject. he would continue to be silent unless she spoke to him this time around.[/blockquote] (progress) (complete) (word count) (207) (notes) (this is short, sorry) (reservations) (gabriella) (ratings) (unsure)[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Gabby smiled slightly. She nodded. She smiled. " Kasey. you are acting like a teacher." She said softly, and looked at him gently. She loved the stars and she agreed with him. All stars do have a purpose. She believed that each star was a person that had left this life. She continued to stare at them. She looked back at Kasey. She continued to smile. " That was to bad we missed it" She said frowning. She was trying to make a good conversation but it wasn't really working so well. So she decided to give up. She nodded.
Gabby moved away from the window and headed for the door. " Well this is your tower, and you probably want some time alone. So I will see you alone Kasey.' She said softly, and started to leave the Astronomy tower. It was his classroom and we had a right to be there alone. She would probably find another place to get fresh air to help her sickness. She was just a steps down the stairs at this point.

his blue eyes were still directed at the much darker sky as gabriella dismissed herself. he had heard her, but his mind was still traveling the distance to the nearest star. he heard her retreating footsteps and that was the sound that brought him back to earth. color=gray]no, he called to her quickly. you can stay. you were up here first. we can, he paused, but he wasn't sure if his mind was drifting again or his tongue was stumbling once more. he shook his head, his shaggy blonde hair falling into his eyes. he removed one hand from his pocket to push the hair away from his face. we can share the tower. at least, for tonight.
[/color] he turned away from the window to look at her silhouette on the tower stairs. this time her silhouette was dark with out the moonlight making her edges glow. he wanted her back in the moonlight. really, it's alright for you to be here.[/color][/blockquote] (progress) (complete) (word count) (206) (notes) (all of my posts today suck) (reservations) (gabriella) (ratings) (unsure)[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Gabriella nodded. " Alright." She said moving back to a window., not the same one her was at. She felt happy but nervous. Sure she had Albus and Tyson but she liked them sure, but the more she talked with Kasey the more she liked. Professional only Gabs! He is to handsome and to good for you" She thought seriously. She got this look on her face. She frowned and pushed the thought to the back of her mind. She continued to look out the window. She eased herself onto the window sill, and was now sitting on it. She smiled. A small breeze swirled around her softly. This made her smile even more. She was smiling for no damn reason. This was crazy. The glow of the moonlight seemed to play up her features and made her look decent.
Gabriella looked at the stars again. They were sparkling and were beautiful. She really loved the nigh, since she was a little girl. Her father always sat out side with her and they found pictures in the stars and what they were called and named them playfully. This memory was a good one. She loved this memory the most. It always made her happy but sad also, because her father was gone and was in the stars. She shook her head trying to rid the though from her mind. She started to fiddle with her fingers. She did that when she was sad and it was a habit. She looked over at Kasey. The moonlight was shining on him as well. He looked like angel. A male Angel. She smiled. She remembered. Professional Only! She sighed, Besides he wouldn't even like her. Most people don't.
This made her even sadder. the only REAL friends she ever had were Albus Potter and Tyson Finch-Fletchly. The only really friends. She loved them. They were great friends but she wanted more but she hated to bother people unless they come to her first. She was outgoing in a crowd. An act. She always put on a act, ever since her ex boyfriend had hurt her. She never trusted guy ever again until she met Ty. He became her best friend, then she met Albus in school and they are good friends., but she was still missing. she was missing something and she still couldn't find it.

the sky had always kept kasey stable. while his mother was sharing her bed with some strange man and shooting only god knows what into those thin arms of hers, kasey would search for constellations and aging stars in the sky while trying to drown out the world around him. eventually, kasey attended a local muggle school where he excelled in space science. so, when hogwarts came along he was thankful for the one familiar subject of astronomy. kasey felt like hogwarts was his home from the second he walked through the door. after the first four years of hogwarts, kasey began working in hogsmeade on the weekends and during the summer vacations while he lived in a dark and particular dirty loft above the hogs head pub. after graduation at the age of seventeen, he managed to snag up the job as the astronomy professor. he would never have to leave hogwarts - his home.
his mind began to wander again remembering his past and keeping his eyes to the sky. a warm breeze pushed passed him and into the circulaur room. he closed his eyes while it blew, throwing his hair into his eyes and cooling his still rather warm cheeks. when he opened his eyes, he looked over at gabriella. so,
[/color] he began, with a bit more confidence. what brought you to my tower tonight? if you don't mind my asking.[/color] he watched her, feeling the breeze return and watching it blow her long, brown locks around. he smiled softly at the site. for some reason, oddly, this movement was comforting.[/blockquote] (process) (complete) (word count) (302) (notes) (wow. all of my posts suck today. it's pissing me off.) Gabby looked at him when he asked her what she was doing up here. " I was feeling hot and sweaty and sick, So I decided i needed some fresh air so i came up here. Why are you here?" She said softly. she smiled at shy, but cute smile at him. She looked around the tower. The breezy was still playing her curls gently and softly, making them frame her face . She continued to smile not at him just because. she continued to look at the window also. She was plainly happy. she looked at kasey. She was happy. She was comfortable with him and they were even talking that much.
She sighed and didn't know what else to say.She got up and walked closer to him and smiled and sat on the window that was looking at. She looked at the window also. She just smiled. " you are probably really tired, and I am keeping you. I really must go." she said softly.

kasey still hadn't figured out why he had woken up. so he considered his answer in silence. by the time he figured out his answer, gabriella had already moved to sit on his windows ledge. he smiled at her, with his eyes running upward from her chin to her eyes. usually at this moment kasey would fumble and stutter or his lips would form some sheepish grin. instead, he reached confidently out to push a loose strand of dark hair out of her face and tucking it behind her ear.
i woke up. simple as that. and now, i'm not tired at all.
[/color] he noticed his hand had been hovering at her cheek, and returned it to his side. i have no intention of returning to bed. so - if you're not tired - i'd like you to stay.[/color][/blockquote] (progress) (complete) (word count) (too small) (notes) (this is really friggin' short. ugh.) Gabby was happy ad shocked that he touched her. It send a shock through her like bolt of lighting. She nodded. ' I would like that too" She said oh so softly. She was happy. She looked down at her feet nervously. She didn't know what to say or do. She was really nervous. She hadn't been this comfortable with a guy beside Albus sand Ty since her e boyfriend. She thought about Valery home with the nanny. She missed her daughter so much. She had dark curly hair with teal eyes. She was completely happy with her life, she just wished she had someone romance in it, and she knew that would not happened.
She looked back up at Kasey. she gave him a shy smile, then blushed bright red. " So....What do you like to do on your free time?" She asked shyly and softly. She got off the the ledge and went to the previous window she was at and looked at it. She sighed a deep sigh. She was missing her daughter. Just thinking about her made her want to cry. She touched the locket around her neck. She looked down at the floor. oh this was going to be a long story if he asked her what she did in her free time. She didn't have free time.

again, her question left him in silent consideration. i sleep, i eat, i teach, and i grade papers. he thought. i never have free time. he sat beside her on the windows ledge, looking to the sky. some evenings and weekends i head down to hogsmeade. some nights, if i'm positive the pitch is empty, i'll go for a quick fly
[/color] he smiled at her, bumping his shoulder against hers. and some nights i come to see the stars. i've lucked out this time to find a rather lovely girl to share the beauty of them with tonight.[/color] he blushed realizing he'd just given her a rather personal sort of compliment. he rubbed the back of his neck in a flustered and embarrassed gesture. what do you do in your free time?[/color][/blockquote] (progress) (complete) (word count) (too short) (notes) (bleck) (reservations) (gabriella) (ratings) (unsure)[/blockquote][/blockquote]

gabby blushed bright red. She looked down . " I don't have free time. I have a 4 year old daughter Valery to take care of in my whole time." She said softy. Having a child turned guys off hugely. She moved away from him quickly. Even more nervous than before. She moved to the farthest window away from him and sat down and fiddled with her fingers gently. She was so nervous. She was loved her daughter so very much but it turned guys over, but most guys weren't really turned on by her. Most guys called her a "plain jane".She sort of was. She was pretty, but plain. Her face didn't really have anything that stood out to people.
Gabby continued to fiddled with fingers and her locket that held a picture of her daughter. Valery LeeAnn Wickson. She was 4 years old and she missed her very much. She started to wonder how she was doing. She put her head down. Her arms ached to hold her tiny little girl. She sighed. She wiped the tears quickly from her face. She hated crying infront of people.

kasey sat up a little more straight and cleared his throat. it wasn't that he was uncomfortable with her being a mother. his neck was burning with embarrassment again as she moved away. did she realize i was flirting with her? does she have a husband at home? he watched her as she moved away, looking back to the sky and back to her. he avoided looking at her eyes, so his own landed on the locket she was fiddling with. it must be hard to raise a child and work all school year. i'm sure your husband takes real good care of her, though.
[/color] he watched her fiddle with her locket around her neck and he began to fiddle with his own hands in his lap. he couldn't think of anything more to say. he felt foolish. i should have figured she was married. she's good looking and she's a comfortable person to be around. and i'm not the person she is meant to be comfortable with.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]
