assassinations are just a part of the human condition. they are our way
of balancing the scales. just take a look at capital punishment. you kill
a guy, you get fried. well it's not always that simple. you can't really put
a political figure in the electric chair or some random asshole who gets
away with murder through the corrupt police force. that just doesn't set
well in the public eye. so that's where we come in. we're assassins. we
kill people without listening to a public opinion on whether they should
be killed in the first place. it seems that people just don't know what's
good for them in that world and therefore, we make their decisions for
them. these are bad people we kill, and that's how we justify it. well,
that's how us smiths do. you see, hundreds of years ago, the original
assassins guild broke up into factions: the smiths and the reds. us
smiths have a code, we have honor. the reds just kill whoever they
see fit and have subjective views toward. now we just can't have people
killing people for shitty reasons, can we? of course not. so let's just say
there's a lot of animosity between us. now either you're on our side,
their side, you're on one of our hit lists, or you're fucking ignorant to
the entire world of assassins. in that case, don't pay attention to a word
i just said. just pretend i'm pitching an idea to fox for a new show.
we'll call it KARMA POLICE.
